The Island

"Not really, you?" Natasha asked, glancing to where a bird had taken off, then back to Easton.

Easton shrugged, "I don't really have any ideas." he was nearly back to normal, only a green hue tinted against his skin.

"Oh. Maybe we'll thing of something." Natasha leaned back, closing her eyes, her lips separating as she let the sun warm her skin.

Easton cringed slightly and looked towards the sun as well, "You know, there are some forms of light the sun gives off that can actually be harmful to your skin." Easton was already beginning to turn tan, his body quickly adapting.

"I need a lot of vitamin D." Natasha said softly, her eyes still closed.

Easton was a little surprised "Really why is that?" He asked, his skin getting even darker.

"Uh.. a skin condition." Natasha said, not lying exactly.

Easton blinked, "Oh, I wouldn't have thought you had one." He said, she looked so normal, obviously she wasn't because of the teleporting but still she at least appeared normal. His skin got to black, almost African, a little darker in fact.

Natasha nodded lightly, opening her eyes, jumping, almost off her chair when she saw him. "Thats going to take some getting used to." She sighed as she relaxed back into her chair.

"At least it's not like wine, I get all lumpy." It was much worse than that, but Easton didn't feel like he needed to go into any more detail. His skin started to dry out when it became black as night. "I guess I just tan a lot faster than most people, I won't get skin cancer though." Although his condition was rather close to that disease.

Natasha raised her eyebrows. "Lets go inside then." She smiled lightly, pulling up her shorts after she stood. She then walked inside, having make cupcakes, but they tasted horrific. She wasn't good at cakes.

Easton followed Natasha inside, unsure of if he'd noticed her without shorts or not. "Oh, cupcakes," Easton said, picking one up, "They look really good."

Natasha shrugged lightly. She hadn't had one. Scared of it tasting wrong.

Easton looked to her, "Would it be rude of me not to eat one?" He asked, knowing he had told her he didn't like eating sugar.

"Oh, no, its alright. I forgot." Natasha smiled a little, tipping the 12 cupcakes into the trash, putting the tray in the dishwasher.

Easton blinked at her reaction, "There are other sweeteners you can use." Easton explained, "Was there something wrong with them?"

"I wasn't going to eat them if you weren't." Natasha shrugged a little, sitting on the couch.

"Oh, well, sorry about that, I'm sure they would have been wonderful." Easton said sitting next to Natasha, keeping his hands to himself because he knew what happened every time they touched.

Natasha nodded lightly, watching her hands slightly. "You do realize most fruit contains sugar, right? You had a Kiwi, which is 6 grams of sugar, a lemon which is about 2.5, an orange which is 9 grams and a banana which is about 14 grams. So in that smoothie, you had about 31.5 grams of sugar." Natasha eyed him slightly.

I blinked, "I guess so."Easton said, "I hope it doesn't have the same effect." It'd better not, it was never pretty if he accidentally ate one grain of sugar.

Natasha nodded slightly, resting back, staring at the ceiling. She chewed on her bottom lip, daydreaming.

Easton winced, and got up to run to the bathroom. "I guess it does." He strained as he hurried that way, he leaned over the bowl as he heaved but nothing came out.

Natasha jumped slightly, cringing slightly, she hated the sound of people even almost being sick.

Good news Easton wasn't really sick, bad news his body was changing to effectively process the sugar. It started in his stomach he started to sweat profusely, almost like being sick except it wasn't caused by bacteria.

Natasha itched her skin, it becoming irritable. She ran to her room, turning back to her natural blue skin and red hair. Closing her door. She sat on her bed, reading some magazines.
