The Island

A large Island for 'Mutants'. Aka: People with 'powers'. Like teleportation, super strength, etc. Mutants live a carefree life on the island, after their life of being experimented on, some Mutants have found it hard to let go of the past, but find it of some comfort to be around people like them.

Natasha sighed as she walked to the balcony of her mountain-side house, staring up at the night sky. The moon always amazed her, now she was free, she could do whatever she wanted. Which wasn't much. She wrapped her arms around herself, leaning against the banister. She could see nearly the whole island from her house, though she was more of an observer.

Easton was in the woods on the side of the mountain, swinging through the trees just kind of going anywhere, if he found someplace to stay he would sleep, but as for now, he was just enjoying the moment. His eyes were alight in the darkness, he had long ago adjusted to the dim light. Easton reached a sheer cliff and smirked to himself as he gazed upward, he wanted to know just how fast he could climb it.

Natasha, from the balcony, appeared on the roof, where here telescope was. She looked into it, just watching the moon. She looked to the book she was reading, a myth about the moon. It made her feel so sad, because like the moon, she too was lonely. Walking the earth, forever alone, world evolving while she watched.

Easton looked to his fist, when it opened he had sharp claws on the ends of his fingers, he drove them into the rock wall and started climbing. It was easy, well as easy as climbing a vertical wall, but he was doing it. Easton's body hugged the face of the wall and his feet also dug into the rocks, he mostly used them to climb his arms were just there to keep him close.

Natasha laid on the roof, her blue eyes on the twinkling stars. Her eyes soon grew heavy, falling into another nightmare. Again of her past of being experimented on, though they were testing what she could survive. Natasha shot up with a gasp, looking around as she tried to relax. Appearing in her large livingroom, she sat down on the couch, watching the fire dance in the fireplace.

Easton soon reached the top where he discovered a large house, he was so surprised he nearly fell off the cliff. he went to look in through one of the windows to see if anyone was inside, his eyes reflected nearly all the light and his hands and feet still hadn't returned to normal.

Natasha saw him from the corner of her eye, the fire reflecting in her eyes. She appeared in front of him, staying silent, the fire strangely still in her eyes, though it fading until the blue was more noticeable.

Easton jumped back, his foot landing on the edge of the cliff, his heel over the edge. He waved his clawed hands until he eventually swung them forward, he fell to his hands and knees as he calmed himself down from his fright. "Goodness you scared me."

Natasha narrowed her eyes in confusion, she never was one to talk, let alone to strangers. She watched him, studying his every move.

He smiled to the woman brightly "Hello I'm Easton," He held out a clawed hand, "oops, sorry." He pulled it back when he realized it was clawed then wiped it on his khaki's, he held it back out and showed that it had returned to normal.

Natasha jumped lightly when he held out his hand, though hesitantly shook it when his hand was normal. She pulled her hand back, still inside the house, though teleporting to just outside the house.

"So is this your place?" Easton asked, looking over the cabin, he wasn't too sure about Natasha either, but he was trying to make a good impression so she wouldn't teleport inside him or something.

Natasha eyed him slightly, nodding then opening the door for him.

"Thank you." Easton said, walking inside. He hoped this wasn't some sort of trap, especially since the woman didn't seem to be speaking much.

Natasha seemed nervous, with the constant hesitation on her part. She wasn't used to people. "D-.. Drink?" She asked quietly, her eyes on the ground though flicking up to look at him, in all her 124 years of life, she hardly had company for long.

"sure what do you have?" Easton asked, in his short 19, almost twenty, years he had interacted with more than just people, he had been forced to communicate with wolves for a while just to survive, lucky he had his power.

"T-.. Tea.. Coffee.. and.. Water.." Natasha said from the kitchen once she appeared there, her voice quiet but hearable.

Easton blinked when Natasha teleported, but accepted the fact that she probably had powers to. "I'll just have some water." Since if he drank caffeine his body would adapt so he could process it easier, it wasn't ever pretty when that happened.

Natasha nodded, getting him a glass of water, teleporting to appear in front of him, handing him the glass of water. "I'm Natasha." She said quietly, getting a little less nervous.

"Nice to meet you." Easton said with a soft smile, taking the cup, "Thank you." he said, before tilting it back to take a drink.

Natasha gave a small smile, teleporting to the fire, throwing more logs into it to keep it going. With her many years, she had learned from others how to 'absorb' powers for a certain amount of time, then return to her usual state, and to her powers she was born with. She hadn't practised this in a while, and assumed she couldn't anymore.

Easton set the water down, "Thanks again for your hospitality, I hope I'm not intruding on anything you were planning on doing."

"Its ok. When you live alone as long as I have, there isn't much to do." Natasha said softly, looking to him.

Easton's brows furrowed, "you're like what twenty one?" He asked, rounding down a year or two on his guess so he wouldn't offend her by saying she looked older.
