The Island

"It's not a problem, I just felt kind of off." Easton said, looking to the rice "That's it, there's no soy sauce." he was very happy with himself for figuring it out.

Natasha nodded, momentarily disappearing though returning with the soy sauce. "Here you are." She smiled, setting it down. "I knew I forgot something."

"Thank you." Easton smiled, as he dished himself up, he used the soy sauce on his rice, being very careful not to add too much since that stuff was strong. "So, you said people were being experimented on, were you one of those people?" Easton asked Natasha.

Natasha nodded. "Unfortunately." She smiled a little. "They tried to see what I could survive, and what I couldn't." Natasha told Easton. "Since then, I've found it hard to trust people." She added. "Weren't you? Or were you born here?" She asked.

"I wasn't born here, I have no parents and the man that raised me said he saved me, I don't have any memories of someplace else." Though that wasn't completely true, Easton had memories of rooms, fires floods, and several other things, but they were all fuzzy and hard to get details on.

"So how did you get here?" Natasha asked, eating some of her food. Her blue eyes on him, quite interested.

"I don't remember, my 'father' said he rowed us here in a boat." Easton said, starting to eat his own food as well.

"Oh." Natasha nodded. "I was an orphan, when I was younger, a lot younger. My parents were killed because people wanted me. Wanted what I was." Natasha said. "I guess were kinda alike." She smiled.

I smiled to, "I guess we are." I said evening out the ends of my chopsticks so I could use them better. "I've lived a rather happy life since I got here, my 'father' didn't exactly love me like his own son, but he still took care of me like any parent would."

Natasha nodded lightly. "Thats really sad." She said softly, sipping her water, eating her rice then some chicken.

"It could have been worse." Easton shrugged, he had grown up with it, he had gotten angry with Easton more than a few times, but then again so did every father, he was much more patient than most people, and he at least wanted to keep Easton from harm. "It wasn't like he was abusive or anything." Easton added, his father had spanked him but only when he was teaching Easton something was wrong.

Natasha nodded lightly. "At least your childhood was better than mine." She smiled. "Excuse me a moment." She said, disappearing. Appearing in the bathroom, she allowed herself to change back to her natural form. Sapphire blue skin with ruby red hair and bright yellow eyes. She was so used to hiding it came natural, even if she didn't have to hide anymore.

(So like mystique?)
Easton kept eating, just enjoying the food Natasha had prepared.

(Kind of, though she can't adopt the appearance of other people.)
Natasha soon returned to her human form, appearing back in her seat. "Sorry I left so suddenly." She smiled.

Easton shrugged, "It's alright, you probably had things to do." Easton lifted another slice of pork with his chopsticks.

Natasha nodded slightly. "I'm sorry I scared you earlier.. many people have taken a little fall when they've turned up unexpectedly." She smiled a little, though raised her eyebrows in realization of what she could have meant. "I didn't throw them off the cliff. I've accidentally scared them then they've fallen.." She said quickly.

Easton smiled a little, "I probably could survive that fall." He said before taking another bite.

"They all did. I've always teleported to the bottom and caught them before they've hit the ground." Natasha smiled a little. "So whats your 'mutation', if you don't mind me asking." She asked.

"Reflexive evolution," Easton said, "at least that was the term I was told. I can basically change my body to match my environment." he explained.

"Wow." Natasha smiled lightly, eating some noodles. "Thats really cool." She nodded. "Do you know many people on the island?" She asked.

Easton shook his head "I don't, though I'm sure a lot of them are great company."

Natasha nodded. "Not sociable either?" She smiled, putting some more noodles on her plate, then more rice, putting a little soy sauce on her rice.

"It tends to happen when your constantly changing." Easton said, dishing more chow mein.

Natasha nodded with a small smile. "So you could grow wings if you wanted to?" She asked, quite interested in him.

"Only if I jumped off a cliff," Easton said "I adapt to my environment, buildings were designed for people, so I look human while I'm indoors."
