No, what Jesse liked was the kissing of his neck. It was a major turn on for him. God, it was making him go blank. He moved his hands up her sides, his hands dragging the dress up with them. Jesse pulled her dress over her head and let it fall to the floor. He'd been tempted before to just rip it off her, like in the movies, though had let that go when he realized it might not be as easy as he though. "Are you sure you want this?" Scarlett nodded, kissing him softly, having made sly work of his shirt, sliding it off him, smiling lightly, kissing his neck gently, nibbling as before.

"Scarlett," Jesse moved his hands to her breasts, cupping them gently, before he pulled back reluctantly. "I-I can't do this." He felt horrible about leading her on. She was so beautiful and open to him, he hadn't been able to grab a hold of his sanity. "We can't do this, we don't even know eachother, it's wrong..."

Scarletts face burned, with embarrassment. She grabbed her dress, running up the stairs to her room, shutting the door, clutching the dress against her bare chest, sobbing. She felt so foolish, yet she felt she knew him for a lifetime, the way they spoke about each other, she thought he wanted her as much as he wanted him. 'Whore.' Repeated through her mind, it seemed silly and immature, but she really thought, after a year of being alone, that someone wanted her, to be led on then rejected was just cruel. Scarlett could do noting but cry in her room, her hands shaking slightly, she felt filthy.

Jesse sighed as he let his hands fall into his lap, rubbing his forehead. He couldn't have felt worse about it though. He got up and walked up stairs, "Scar?" He knocked on the door lightly. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you..." He whispered, resting his forehead on the door.

Jesse's mouth fell agape when she started to speak; he hadn't meant for any of what just happened to make her feel like that. He hadn't meant to make her feel revolting, honestly he was so drawn to her it made it hard for him to speak, much less pull away. However, when he did, it was for a reason. "Scarlet, I.. I didn't mean it to be like that, I just stopped because I didn't want to ruin everything we could have had." He said as he looked down, keeping his head low. "I'm so sorry..."

Jesse stared at her, clearly unsure of what to say, though he could argue with her or make it better? Though being a bull-headed man he couldn't help but argue. Scarlett bit the inside of her cheek at the first thing he said, turning around and walking into her room, slamming the door, but he could easily open it again. Scarlett paced up and down in the middle of her room, it probably wasn't the best reaction, but he was careless enough to put it like that after she just poured her heart out to him. She sat with her head bent down, it shielded by her arms, her hands in tight fists. Though she'd never lash out, it wasn't in her nature. Scarlett closed her eyes tightly as fresh tears poured over her cheeks, crawling to her small bathroom to sob her heart out until there was nothing left in peace, Scarlett closing the door once there, sobbing quietly, because she just couldn't stop.

I am still a rookie after over 2 years. It's hard... So hard. lol.)

Jesse slammed his fist against the door when she slammed it, pushing on it a moment, though he pushed himself away and jogged down the stairs, kicking a vase over once he got there. He didn't know what to do or say, all he knew is that he messed up. He screwed this up, the one thing he'd been scared of doing; he'd done. Jesse's tired blue eyes closed once he finally slowed down long enough to rest his head against the wall.

Scarlett cried until she couldn't anymore. Too scared to leave her room, she curled up under her blankets, Scarlett pluckingnthe courage, quietly sitting on the step, the floor extremely creepy. She knew it was all her fault.

(It did that to me before, along time ago!)

Jesse went into his study and basically locked himself in there, researching for jobs, anything he could do to keep him occupied. He didn't want to think about it anymore; He felt absolutly horrible about what he'd done.

Scarlett lost some layers of clothes, wearing a vest top and shorts, walking downstairs with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders, laying on the couch, the huge blanket covering her. Scarlett soon enough fell asleep, she had a baby face, which added like an eternal youth to her features. Her full lips pulled together quite relaxedly, her eyes closed lightly, her hands gripping the blanket as she slept, curled up under the blanket.

Finally, later that night, Jesse walked out of the study. However, when he saw her sleeping on the couch he felt even worse. His body relaxed a bit, before he walked over and re-covered her feet when since the blanket had fallen off after she'd fallen asleep. "I'm sorry..." He whispered, leaning in to kiss her forehead gently. He was careful not to wake her, as he walked away and back to the stairs.

Scarlett murmured lightly, but otherwise remained asleep. She rubbed her head into the cushion, turning over a lot, managing to fall off the couch, groaning slightly, clutching her left wrist, her teeth gritted, she having landed awkwardly on her arm. She often moved a lot when sleeping, unable to stay comfortable for long. "Stupid couch." Scarlett whimpered, her freshly dyed ruby red hair sprawled out underneath her head, she thought it looked sexy.

Jesse climbed the stairs quietly, though he couldn't help but look back. "Isn't it good enough to be friends?" He asked as he turned back to her. "Look, Scar, I'm sorry. I never, ever, wanted to start that right now." He walked back down and closer to her. "I'm sorry it happened, and I'm sorry I didn't stop it sooner, but I was scared of losing you for good."

"You wouldn't have lost me if you didn't hurt me like that." Scarlett told him, picking herself up, wriggling the fingers on her left hand. They moved easily without pain. Scarlett sighing in relief. "Jesse, I don't understand. Please explain to me without yelling." She said softly. "I don't understand why you said all those things, then just decided to be friends. Did you not consider my feelings at all?" Scarlett asked softly, standing up, the blanket still around her. "Maybe I don't want to be 'just friends', maybe I wanted to be more. After everything you said, I thought I was making the right decision." Scarlett siighed, rubbing her eyes, it was all muddled up in her head. But it was wanting that she couldn't have which made her so persistent and adamant.

"I just... I didn't know what to do, honestly, I was scared of messing up." Jesse was scared, he wasn't good in relationships, he screwed them all up. He shook his head as he finally let his head fall. "To be honest, I don't know what was going on with me. I did want you, I wanted you so much my mind took over and I couldn't stop until I forced myself to. I still wanted you after that. I just... I don't know anymore."

Scarlett sighed quietly, walking to him and hugging him softly. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have continued to press on about it, I wanted you as much as you wanted me, no word of a lie." She told him, still hugging him. "I guess I wasn't really ever refused, I mean.. it doesn't count because I've only ever had sex with one guy which is my ex husband, so." Scarlett shrugged. "But hey, maybe second time lucky." She winked playfully, teasing him as she walked the rest of the way up the stairs, Her bedroom door open as it was boiling in her froom, Scarlett at the heap of red, picking it up and turning it the right way. She'd missed the party anyway. Scarlett carefully folded it, putting it in her draw at the bottom, sighing as she stood back up, walking out of her room boredly, sighing as she glanced, though it was dark, and no one was on the beach. Maybe she could do for a night walk on the beach.

Jesse thought about what she'd said, and maybe that was an idea. He could make it romantic, he could hold her for a night, not that night, but another. He started to think about it, nodding to his idea. He picked up his phone and began to look through his calendar, figuring out when he was free for a weekend. If he could just stop getting all stressed out it'd be better.
