The Supernatural

"Um, before I was put into foster care, I was camping in the mountains and we was hiking one night. Well something happened and I was in hospital, my parents died. My legs and arms were ripped open." Cristina explained.

Suso winced, "Sorry, I've done that to people myself actually, that's why I'm vegetarian, I'd lose my mind during a full moon." Suso explained, he hoped Cristina wouldn't be terrified of him because of that information.

"I'm glad you're nothing like the thing that attacked me." Cristina murmured.

"You were attacked?" Suso asked, Cristina had said something had happened, he had assumed she had fallen down a cliff or something.

Cristina nodded, looking down as she made two very feline striped ears appear from underneath her hair, managing to grow a striped feline tail. "Surprise.." She said quietly.

Suso was definitely surprised; a smile crept across his face, “You’re a wereleopard?” Suso asked, not sure if she was a leopard or some other large cat, “That’s amazing.”

Cristina smiled a little when he said it was amazing. "I-.. I don't know exactly.. I think it changes to be able to survive wherever I am. It adapts." Cristina said. "Around water, I'm usually a tiger. A leopard anywhere with trees. A lioness in hot-ish places. You get the picture." She said. "Whatever attacked me, gave me this." She told him, her feline features shrinking back so she was totally human.

“So, you can control them?” Suso asked, noticing that she had grown and shrunk the features at will. “That’s great, and the adapting thing is cool to, I’m just a wolf wherever I go.” He leaned back to sit upright in his chair. “Do you have any idea what the thing that attacked you was?” Suso was curious.

"I'm pretty sure it was a cougar. The last thing I remember is that kinda roar they do. Like a cat with a sore throat." Cristina said, then nodded. "I can adopt the features, but I can't change fully yet." She told him. "I always wondered why I was so good at gymnastics." She smiled.

Suso smiled back, “At least we have something in common, I was worried it would take me weeks to get back to a normal person.” Suso had heard Annie and I that one night, it had sounded like we were having a great time.

Cristina smiled. "At least we're living proof cats and dogs can get along." Cristina giggled lightly.

Suso laughed a little as well, “Yeah I guess we are.” He didn’t really have anything else to ask Cristina, but he felt like the conversation wasn’t over just yet.

Cristina smiled lightly. "Do you ever remember being a wolf?" She asked. "Like anything you do whilst in that form?"

Suso looked down “Yeah, I get it back in memory flashes, and it’s only during a full moon that I ever forget anything. I can remember eating things and people, sometimes they’d survive but I’ve bitten nearly everyone I’ve attacked, including my sister.” Suso wasn’t too happy about these memories.

Cristina nodded. "On my first transformation, I was a cougar.. my foster parents had grounded me, and kept me in my room, I transformed, they came up to see what was happening.. and I ripped them open... and their son. He was only 2 years old, I could see the terror in his eyes, but I couldn't stop." Cristina said, staring blankly at the table, remembering every second. She blinked a few times, looking up to Suso. "You have a sister?" She asked, drinking some of her milk.

“Yeah, she’s a werewolf now, it’s my fault but she seems to be doing alright.” Suso said, he was glad he hadn’t killed anyone who was important to him, and now he wouldn’t have that problem “Hey, you know, I think we might be able to get it so you won’t lose control when you transform.”

"I've learnt to control it. It hides itself away when its here, and eats some of the wildlife. I think it ate a horse or something last night." Cristina huffed, rubbing her stomach.

“And you’re still consuming food?” Suso asked, a little surprised, whenever morning came and he’d had a meal like that he normally couldn’t move.

Cristina nodded. "I ate once I transformed.. then.. I.. rested in a tree, cleaning the blood from my paws, and.. um.. thats all I remember so far. I was a leopard all night, and I ate once, and I had nothing to eat the day before, so excuse me if I eat." Cristina smiled lightly.

“Oh, I guess you’re right, I wouldn’t have thought of not eating so I could while I was a wolf, that’s pretty smart.” Suso said, also smiling.

Cristina smiled lightly. "I always gain control when I'm changing back, so I get home, which means I never get lost." She smiled, she had been like that for almost 14 years

Suso scooted a little closer to Cristina, "You are amazing." Suso told her, he was so glad Annie had thought of inviting her, Cristina made wonderful company.

Cristina smiled. "So are you." She said, kissing him softly on the lips then resting her head on his shoulder.
